Frequently asked questions
- Can two metallic floors be identical?
- No, and that's the whole point. The pigments are poured and worked by hand on site: the veins and clouds settle where they settle. We can aim for a mood and a palette, never an exact pattern.
- Do we get to choose the colour?
- Yes. We agree on the tones and the kind of effect before pouring. It's the part we discuss most with the client, because it's what changes the whole room.
- Does metallic work in a garage?
- It can, but that's not where it shines. A mirror finish is made to be looked at: basement, showroom, living space. For a garage, flake handles salt and hot tires better.
- Is it slippery?
- The finish is smooth by nature. If the floor is likely to get wet, we add a non-slip additive to the topcoat without killing the mirror effect.
